When I first saw the book, Can’t Help Falling by Kara Isaac in the library, I think the cover attracted me. I was so excited to grab it and take it home. It was a romantic book that describes the main character Emelia, who wants to amend the mistakes she thinks she made, so she departs her own country and goes to Oxford. She meets her ex-boyfriend Peter by coincidence. Peter is one of the best Olympic rowers in Oxford. His reputation helps the plot go on, which is an important step. And between them, a secret gradually develops and they fall in love. When l was reading this book, I so enjoyed watching the secret slowly unfold. On the other hand, there are also many conflicts in the book. For instance, Emelia and Peter have a quarrel, and get caught in danger. All of the conflicts get resolved if you continue to read it.
The book is set in England, which I don’t know much about. But I learned more about it when I finished reading this book (although at the end Kara said she doesn’t know much about it either.) But anyway, it is a novel of romance, faithfulness, and kindness. Those three elements are the main center of ideas in this novel.
When l read each book, I learn something new about author’s thought process that l never knew before. I can see many of the character’s thoughts through the book. I try to comprehend their thinking and expand the scope of my own mind. I had a lot of fun reading this book. This book helped me to know more about love. I wish everyone could enjoy and read this book, like I did. Because of the quality of this book, I think this book should receive four out of five star rating. Although this is not a one of the best book for the teens, it is new and worth a try. Throughout the book, the plot is very complicated but in the end, everything becomes. You can learn some ideas and thought from author and apply to your life. It’s a precious experience.
